What a weekend! We had a very busy and fun-filled time on the 14th and 15th of March 2015 – by Mrs D exhibited at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival!
After weeks of preparation, we were very lucky to take part in the Edinburgh Yarn Festival as our first major craft fair. We were amazed by the number of knitting enthusiasts who descended on the Edinburgh Corn Exchange for the weekend. It was great to see such a cross-section of people attending – knitting truly is experiencing a revival amongst the younger generation with plenty of like-minded ‘twenty-something’s’ popping by to say hello!
We were offering our full range of knitting patterns, knitting kits and Luxury Alpaca Yarn for sale at the event. Everyone who stopped by had a wee feel of the yarn – resulting in lots of ‘oooos’ and ‘aaahs’ and exclamations of ‘it’s so soft’!
The Berwick Beanie was a favourite design, as was the Corrie Infinity Scarf, the Honeycomb Cowl and Hat and the Coast Fingerless Gloves. We were so encouraged by all the positive comments and it was brilliant to finally meet some lovely customers face-to-face.
Importantly, we owe a big thank you to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival organisers for putting on such a well-attended event. It was a fantastic experience and we now can’t wait for our next fair – details coming soon.
