I am very excited to announce the launch of by Mrs D’s new range of Luxury Scottish Alpaca Yarn!
This 100% alpaca knitting yarn is made from Scottish alpaca fleece spun in Scotland at a specialist alpaca fibre processing mill. Alpaca yarn is a delight to knit with and both the Aran and Chunky weight yarns will knit up quickly – ideal for those who find themselves with limited knitting time.
Alpaca fleece comes in a wide range of natural colours and therefore no dye has been used to create these gorgeous Caramel, Light Fawn, Rose Grey and Cream yarns.
ARAN YARN
Each ball of Aran Yarn is supplied as a 100g ball with an approximate length of 125 metres. The yarn will knit to a standard Aran tension (18 sts and 24 rows = 10cm/ 4 inches square) using 5mm needles.
CHUNKY YARN
Each ball of Chunky Yarn is supplied as a 100g ball with an approximate length of 80 metres. The yarn will knit to a tension of 13 sts and 18 rows = 10cm/ 4 inches square using 7mm needles.
