Today, the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow hosted the 14th annual Woman of Influence Awards. The event recognises influential women in Scotland whilst raising funds for Action for Children Scotland. This incredible charity works with extremely vulnerable children, young people and their families, supporting them through difficult times and addressing issues such as child neglect and abuse. The charity’s truly worthwhile and meaningful vision is to enable children “to fulfil their potential, shape their own destiny and experience the joy of life.”
by Mrs D is delighted to be supporting The Woman of Influence Awards and Action for Children Scotland by donating a voucher for two hand knitted items – one item of neckwear and one item of headwear to be chosen by the lucky voucher winner. The voucher was carefully wrapped in the handmade presentation pouch seen in the pictures below. I am looking forward to meeting the prizewinner soon, hearing all about the event and knitting their chosen by Mrs D designs.
