My poor little blog is feeling a bit neglected! I’ve been spending so much time with my knitting needles recently – there are simply not enough hours in the day!

Of course, the reason my knitting needles haven’t stopped ‘click, click, clicking’ is a combination of my new Etsy shop and Christmas pressies! I am pleased to report that by Mrs D sales have been steady so far, with the bestsellers being the Clare Cable Knit Headband, closely followed by the Skye Snood.

I am so excited to think that my designs are now taking shape on needles as far away as Michigan, Washington and Georgia!

The Bonnie Bow set has also proved popular with Esty users, with lots of people adding the headband and wristwarmers set to their favourites list. It’s a favourite of mine too. In fact it was out with me today – a good way to stay warm in this chilly weather!

Both the Bonnie Bow set and the Skye Snood are made with the same shade of Rowan alpaca chunky, called ‘Heron’. I cannot get enough of Rowan’s alpaca chunky range to be honest! It is so soft and cosy – not to mention that it knits up in no time on chunky 10mm needles. A brilliant yarn for a quick winter knit.
