A craft fair shopping spree!

Last Saturday I spent an extremely enjoyable few hours at the Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts Show in Glasgow. There was such a vast array of exhibitors that I couldn’t possibly take in every one. I focused my attention on fabrics and woollen supplies. As you can imagine, that didn’t narrow things down much!

However, undeterred by the enormity of my task, I knuckled down and found two particular favourites. One of the first stalls that caught my attention was Favourite Fabrics.

I was on the look out for material for my second quilt (even though number one is nowhere near finished!) and Favourite Fabrics came up trumps. How could I resist this fabulous palate of pastel blues and creams?

Happily, I discovered that I can continue to buy fabrics online after the show. I have a sneaking suspicion that Favourite Fabrics will live up to its name and become just that – my fabric supplier of choice!

Another stand-out stall for me was a woollen one – Black Sheep Wools. My attention was drawn to their stall by a bit of a rabble and some excited exclamations of “how lovely” and “look at the price”! Usually when the words “lovely” and “price” are in the same sentence as “wool”, I would expect to find another stunningly soft but highly expensive ball of yarn. Not so at Black Sheep Wools! I was over the moon to learn that the tagline for this great wool supplier is “All the brands you love for less”. Needless to say, I promptly plunged into the pile of wool, rummaged around and successfully managed to add to my wool stash…

I have no doubt that I will be checking out Black Sheep Wools’ website to stock up again soon!

All in all, a productive day at the fair for me!
