Mrs D’s k.i.s.s.

How time flies when you are having fun! Mrs D is now over two months old and I have no idea where the time has gone. I have been so busy crafting, blogging and enjoying this new project I have barely noticed the weeks passing!

by Mrs D is excellent motivation for tackling the wool stash and I am pleased to report that I have made a small dent! Part of the reason the stash has been decreasing has to be down to my recent enthusiasm for designing my own knitting patterns. Those of you who have been following the blog from the beginning will know that by Mrs D resulted from a search for a focus for my creative side. It has certainly focussed the mind and encouraged lots of creative thinking! To harness these creative thoughts, I have decided on a theme for by Mrs D knitting patterns: Mrs D’s k.i.s.s.

Intrigued? Mr D was!

In a nutshell, when designing, my aim is to ‘keep it simple and stylish’. Here’s some finished items waiting for their pattern photo shoots. You may recognise the Springtime beanie and the dusty pink infinity scarf from earlier posts.

Keeping it simple means that everyone can join in. I want my designs to encourage people to pick up their needles, even if that’s for the very first time. The art of knitting is going through such a wonderful revival that we really must support it. And I cannot think of a better way to drum up interest in this rejuvenated craft than keeping knitting designs current, stylish and accessible to all. Happy knitting!
