What did you do over the Easter break? I spent a lovely holiday weekend in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland – a family favourite for as long as I can remember. We took a trip into St Andrews for some holiday treat cocktails and a tasty meal at The Adamson, played lots of golf (we definitely needed to wrap up warm!) and enjoyed relaxing with the family. A very pleasant few days were had by all!
The only problem with a trip away from home is a reduced ability to craft! I did, however, manage some knitting and finished my Mum’s hot water bottle cover. What do you think?
Although my creative achievements during the holiday weekend were minimal, over the past few weeks my sewing machine has been the centre of attention. Alongside progressing my first quilt (now finally finished – take a peek here), I have been busy making cushions, mostly for our bedroom and living room. I have already shared a couple of the patchwork cushions with you…

I have now added a new gallery page where you can find photos of my projects and, hopefully soon, links to my new online shop if something catches your eye! Take a look here for photos of cushions handmade and designed by Mrs D.
Tonight I’m hoping to spend time back at my sewing machine to finish another patchwork cushion using some fabric left over from my first quilt. I will post the result in the new gallery soon!
